In These Times with Rabbi Ammi Hirsch: Jonah Platt

Many of you probably know Jonah Platt as a Broadway-trained actor, singer and writer — part of a creative family that has left its mark on film, television and theater. But over the last few years, especially since October 7, Jonah has emerged as something more: a tireless, articulate advocate for the Jewish people.
His weekly podcast, "Being Jewish with Jonah Platt," has become essential listening for thousands of young Jews and their allies. He speaks with celebrities, thinkers and creators about Jewish identity, Israel, antisemitism and the cultural forces shaping the next generation. And he is doing something too few are doing today: giving young Jews the confidence and pride to stand up for who they are.
I asked Jonah to join me to talk about his advocacy, how he reaches young people, and how pop culture is portraying — and shaping — Jews at this moment in history.
I hope you’ll tune in to hear — or watch — this important conversation wherever you get your podcasts.
