Columbia University — one of our country's most elite institutions of higher learning, where some of history's best and brightest minds have been taught to think critically and creatively — has been in a crisis.

Since October 7th, Jewish students have felt unwelcome and unsafe on their own campus. And the school's administration has done little to assuage their very serious concerns.

Two of the loudest voices standing up for their fellow Jews belong to embattled Columbia Business School Professor Shai Davidai, a social psychologist and a proud Israeli who is being investigated by the school for his social media activism, and newly minted Barnard graduate Noa Fay, one of the brilliant student leaders who have emerged from the fray.

After Columbia decided to cancel its main commencement following weeks of protest and turmoil, I wanted to catch up with these two on the eve of Noa's graduation — before the student body dispersed for the summer...
