What's Happening On College Campuses?

In These Times with Rabbi Ammi Hirsch: Ora Hirsch Pescovitz

For years now, Americans have become increasingly concerned about universities. The cost of a four-year degree has skyrocketed while many have questioned the benefits of a college education. To help us better understand the atmosphere on college campuses today, I've asked a very special guest to join me on the podcast. My big sister, Dr. Ora Hirsch Pescovitz, is the president of Oakland University, a large publicly funded research university in the Detroit metro area. Ora was among the first university presidents in America to issue an immediate condemnation of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Since then, she has become an outspoken advocate for keeping campuses safe for all students while upholding the commitment to free speech.

I hope you'll tune in and join me for this intimate conversation wherever you get your podcasts.
